Journal
Notes on the decisions behind my work—how I make sense of a brief, organise information, and adjust a design when things change.

A change in direction can affect more than the colours or images on a page. It can change what needs attention first, how much information fits, and whether the original layout still makes sense.

When that happens, I start by separating what the new brief actually changes from what still works. I check the content, decide which parts need a new structure, then test the layout before refining the visual details. It saves me from polishing something that may need to move again.

I also keep earlier versions close enough to compare. Sometimes an idea from the first direction still solves a problem in the new one. The aim is to respond to the change while keeping the final design clear, consistent, and useful.
